Using her telekinesis, Bella guided herself to the next page, with the White Rabbit and March Hare still safe. The next chapter revealed a pop-up section that resembled the Queen of Heart’s castle in Queensland. Small pop-up sections of a hedge maze, as well as the castle grounds, were present.
"This must be the final chapter. Hopefully we’ll find the Queen." Bella declared, momentarily distracted by a pop-up model of the blue caterpillar. She snapped her eyes shut, another vision flashing into her mind.
Bella, clad in her exotic slave outfit, giggled as she was romantically carried away by the caterpillar, bridal style. Having munched on one side of the mushroom to grow them both to their normal sizes, they headed for the castle.
More visions followed - including one of Bella admiring her flawless frame in a mirror while wearing a lacy black corset with a black bra, black panties black stockings and suspenders, her hair styled immaculately like a 40’s femme fatale with red lipstick on her lips. She turned to the caterpillar, twirling for him. He nodded approvingly.
Another vision saw her exiting an infinity pool in a slinky black one piece swimsuit, her pale and hourglass figure soaked and raven hair elegantly wet as her lepidoptera love interest handed her a towel like a gentleman.
The final vision was of one of her kissing the caterpillar as they danced, her beautiful looks concealed in a block ball gown.
"This is where you belong, my dear Bella." The caterpillar crooned, a soft smile on the porcelain princess’s face.
"For you, master. Wonderland is my home now." She smiled, twirled around on the spot and dipped like a gothic dance partner.
Bella snapped her eyes open, these visions appearing to weaken her. They were speaking to the passionate side of her soul, hoping to sway her from her mission. She looked around, struggling to focus.
Ah, the first rites of spring and Gotham burns. It’s here the story twists and turns. The chapter where we’ll find, how little Alice lost her mind." Tetch rhymed.
Bella’s eyes zeroed in six new guards, once again shaped like playing cards as they swarmed towards her. The White Rabbit and March Hare ran to hide, expressing fear in the face of confrontation.

“Oh my whiskers! The Queen is in trouble!” The White Rabbit gasped in horror.
The Queen of Hearts was held being hostage by two guards, also shaped like playing cards. The first black club guard was restraining the Queen by her hands, which were tied behind her back with rope. The second red diamond guard held her head underneath the sharp blade of a guillotine, ready to slice her head off if I dare try to save her.
“The queen’s gonna lose her head!” The March are freaked, behind the White Rabbit.
“No one’s losing their heads or minds. Not while I’m here.” I vowed, accepting the challenge to save the Queen. Four more playing cards came after me while The White Rabbit and the March Hare hid behind the pop-up hedge maze.
"Oh Alice, dear, please pay attention, don't make me keep you in detention." The Mad Hatter warned as he watched me attacking the first guard? He gripped his arms around my waist, but I elbowed him in the stomach and flipped him over my head onto the ground and slammed an elbow onto him again, knocking him out cold.
I quickly performed a backflip and kicked with my feet into the second playing card’s jaw, then leapt on top of the third playing card and wrapped my legs around his neck, bringing him to the ground with a hurricanrana and knocking him out cold with a knee to the face.
"I caught you with the flowers’s song. You thought you'd foiled me, you were wrong!" Tetch warned me.
“I’ve learned a lot from the flowers, Jervis! Just like I’ve learned that you’re a WEED on their garden!” I snarled back, attacked the 4th guard a with forcefield amplified punch that sent him flying backwards and through the pop-up castle.
"Hip hip hoozah! She's here! She's here! Your destiny is drawing near!" Mad hatter cheered, noticing that I was having another strange vision appearing in my mind, showing me the future that awaits me between being the caterpillar’s lover and the Mad Hatter’s Queen of Wonderland, trying to brainwash me with those hallucinations and make me give into the madness that Tetch created, nearly destroying Wonderland.
The vision of me and the caterpillar dancing in the ballroom soon gave way to a twisted wedding, where I was brainwashed into marrying the Hatter. My finger accepted a wedding ring.....
“I’ll never give in, Jervis! This is all a dream! Now let her go!” I threatened, on my knees, knowing that there were two more guards still keeping the Queen hostage underneath the guillotine.
"Oh Alice, Alice, don't delay! Let those demons out to play!" Tetch grinned, watching me struggle to discover the difference between reality and fantasy. I clutched my head with my hands, trying to focus and ignore the visions of my desires within my mind, feeling weak from find my way across this storybook. The Queen, still tied underneath the guillotine, pleaded for me to save her.
“No! Not now!” I struggled, shutting my eyes and shaking my head, denying the fantasy that tried to betray my sanity.
“Save me!” The Queen cried, black club playing card still gripped tightly onto the rope of the guillotine, the red diamond playing card approaching me with an axe in his hands. Six more guards approached the last chapter of the book, circling around me.
"Kill the Queen, Alice! Kill her dead! She’s after you! She wants your head!" Tetch ordered. “You are mine and you will soon see, that you and I are meant to be!”
“No……NO!” I screamed, shaking my head forcibly, strongly refusing to give in with every bit of willpower that I had left within me. Batman had taught me in the past from my last encounter with Mad Hatter, when he tried to invade my dreams, was that dreams are just illusions, but not real to the outside world.
“I’m not Alice! I am nobody’s slave!” I scowled, slowly staggering up to my feet again until I stood facing the last two playing cards. The White Rabbit and the March Hare, still hiding behind the pop-up hedge maze, wondered what I was about to do next.
“I am empathy, I am the guardian, I AM CROW WOMAN!” I screamed to the heavens within the storybook, levitating myself into the air with my telekinesis. I raised my arms up above my head, using my own imagination as I imagined a murder of crows cawing across the Queensland pop-up of the story’s last chapter, attacking the six remaining guards, circling them like a black tornado until they all faded away, leaving all six knocked out cold.
I then used my telekinesis to lift the two remaining guards skywards and slammed their heads together at the same time, knocking both of them out as well. But as I did so, the rope dropped as the blade of the guillotine head e straight down towards the queen’s neck, ready to slice her head off. The March hare and The White Rabbit gasped. Even the Queen screamed in fear, shutting her eyes, refusing the watch the death that approached her.
But with quick thinking, I used a telekinetic forcefield that formed a protective shield around the Queen before the blade could reach her neck. I tossed a grenade from my utility belt towards the blade and it exploded into pieces. I lowered the Queen to safety beside me and the force field around her faded away.
“You did it! You saved her!” The White Rabbit cheered, as did the March Hare. They rushed towards me and the Queen.
“Easy, your majesty, I got you. You’re going to be okay.” I said in a calm voice, untying her wrists before helping her up to her feet again.
“Why…..You’re the Crow Woman that everyone in Wonderland was talking about.... You saved my life. I shall have the Mad Hatter’s head for this!” The Queen growled angrily.
“There’s no need for that, I’ll take care of him personally when we get out of here.” I vowed, promising to personally bring the Mad Hatter back to reality before sending him back to Arkham in my beloved home town of Gotham City where I truly belong.

The entire surroundings of the book began to disintegrate, fantasy becoming reality as each pop-up section disappeared, every paragraph and chapter becoming a tornado of endless vowels and words. Bella’s ordeal was coming to an end,
"Where are you, Alice, where'd you go? Oh, this isn't right, oh no no no no!" The Mad Hatter lamented, his carefully laid plan falling apart before his very eyes.
Bella found herself back in the throne room of the castle, with the Queen, March Hare, and White Rabbit, all standing beside her. Tetch himself was cowering, on his knees as he saw the Queen’s eyes fall on the garish colour of green that covered her throne.
"Who dares to tarnish my throne in green?!" The Queen bellowed, sounding more like an angry bull than a symbol of royalty. She picked up a discarded axe, gripping it on her hands.
"Now, lets just....." Tetch stammered.
"OFF WITH HIS HEAD! BY ROYAL DECREE!" She roared, stomping forward. Bella grabbed the axe to stop her, much to her surprise.
"No, your majesty. Death is too good for him. I’ll deal with him personally. Take him back to my reality. Back to Gotham." Bella vowed, her blue eyes locking onto the fiery anger that burned within the boisterous and belligerent woman.
"Very well, young one. But do not hesitate to do what is right for yourself. In your time." The Queen relented, standing down and lowering her axe.
The March Hare and White Rabbit watched as Bella, now fully free from the shackles of desire and passion earlier, approached the diminutive criminal and grabbed him by the lapels of his coat, lifting him into the air.
"What?! NO! I had you, don't you see? You're mad, you're mad, you're just like me!" Tetch rhymed, still denying the fact that he lost.
“I’ll never be like you, Jervis! Now take me home!” Bella threatened.
"Why, yes, yes, yes, of course. I’ll take you home. No need for force." Tetch stammered, squirming in her grip.
"No more games. I’ve had enough." Bella spoke, her voice full of conviction. "Either take me back to Gotham, or I’ll count to 5. And crush your hat again."
Tetch panicked. The mere thought of his pride and joy being crumpled under her boot terrified him. "Oh no, please, anything but that! I’ll take us home, just don’t destroy my hat!"
"Do it. And don’t make me impatient." Bella declared, keeping her hands firmly latched onto the Mad Hatter’s lapels on his coat.
Tetch frantically pulled out his pocket watch. She stared at it, which briefly blinded her. Bella could feel her body leaving this fantastical fantasy world, shrouded in white light. It took a while before she felt her feet touching the floor of the hat shop once again.
Wonderland was gone. She was now back in Gotham.

Chapter 7: Home Sweet Home
I moaned and groaned, clutching my head with my one free hand and shook my head, opening my eyes to adjust to the brightness as my vision became clear……
To my absolute relief, I was back inside the storage room of the hat shop, but more importantly, I was back home in my beloved city of Gotham.
My other hand was still gripping firmly onto the lapels of the Mad Hatter’s coat as I briefly narrowed my eyes at our realistic surroundings Cardboard boxes lay scattered all over the floor, the tea party table destroyed, with shattered cups and tea pots. The grandfather clock was shattered and destroyed as well, Tetch’s brainwashed henchmen were still unconscious on the floor. I smirked. I was truly back in reality again.
“Playtime’s over, Jervis.” I snarled, my one hand still gripping firmly onto the lapels of his coat. Both of us than heard a loud banging on the door.
“GCPD! OPEN UP!”
I recognised that voice. Commissioner Gordon. He was trying to break down the door.
“Perfect timing.” I smirked, with Tetch seeming awfully frightened at his defeat.
“No! Please! Don’t send me away! I promise to change if you let me stay!” Teach pleaded. I secretly placed the CrowWoman’s Adventures in Wonderland storybook into my utility belt for evidence.
“No chance, Jervis.” I vowed, just as the door burst open to reveal Commissioner Gordon, Detective Bullock and two other GCPD officers that rushed into the trashed storage room to find me apprhending the Mad Hatter.
“Crow Woman?” Gordon asked in shock, lowering his gun.
“Don’t worry, Commissioner, I got him.” I reassured. handcuffing the Mad Hatter’s hands behind his back.
“Nice work, CrowWoman. Do you have any idea where Detective Isabella Raven could be? She’s been missing for 5 hours.” Gordon revealed.
I gasped, realising that I’ve been trapped in Wonderland for 5 hours. It was now 3:00AM!
“She’s safe, Commissioner. I’ sent her home.” I spoke, making it seem that I’d found her being held hostage by the Mad Hatter.
“What happened here?” Gordon asked.
“You wouldn’t believe what I’ve been through tonight, Commissioner. But long story short, I crashed Hatter’s tea party before it even began.” I smirked, asking to drag the defeated criminal back to his cell in Arkham Asylum.
“That nutjob needs to get a new hobby.” Bullock sighed.
“I couldn’t agree more, Detective Bullock. I’m just glad to be back home. ” I spoke.
“Back home? What do you mean?” Gordon asked.
“I’ll explain some other time.” I promised, dragged the Hatter by the back collar of his coat out of the hat shop with Gordon, Bullock and two other GCPD Officers following behind me.
A few moments later outside Gotham City, I was inside Arkham Asylum. Several doctors and security guards escorted me through the Cell Block Transfer corridor, watching me personally drag the Mad Hatter back to his cell. It was filled with ripped and torn pictures from the Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland storybook and a small tea table with shattered tea cups and tea pots! his bed covered in tea stains.
“Get in.” I ordered, shoving the Mad Hatter back into his cell and locking it.
“Oh Alice, no this can't be how it ends. There's tea for two, we can still be friends." Jervis pleaded, gripping his hands onto the bars of his cell to get a closer glimpse of me. This forced me to take a step backwards, repulsed by him.
“You used the grandfather clock to hypnotise me. I want to know how you did it.” I asked, trying to interrogate him.
“Oh no no no no. A magician can't reveal his tricks. I'll keep you guessing just for kicks. Oh Alice, why not brew some tea and snuggle up in here with me." Mad Hatter asked, creepily inviting me to join him for some tea in the most disturbing manner that made me shiver in disgust and feel deeply nauseous, wanting to vomit just at the thought of it.
“You need serious help, Jervis.” I scowled back at the Mad hatter in deep disgust, standing across from his cell.
"If you want to help then why so callous? Join me, CrowWoman. Be my Alice." Tetch creepily grinned back, obsessed of imagining me as Alice to complete his delusional fantasy.
“Jervis, you are a real pain in the neck, what you really need is a reality check.” I smirked with my last rhyming message for the night. turning my back and walking away, finally free from his delusional games, returning home to my rightful place as Gotham’s dark guardian angel, and knowing that this will be truly a story to tell to Batman and Nightwolf once I get back to my apartment to sleep this stressful night away.

Bella left the holding cells, noticing a few doctors checking Tetch’s mental health records on clipboards. She could only hope that this time, the delusional schizophrenic would stay locked up for good. Not only did she reject the idea of ever being his "Alice", but the idea of a disturbing individual being attracted to a beautiful woman like her made her feel sick to her stomach.
She had only one true love. And that was her very own Dark Knight himself: Batman.
"Long night, huh?" One guard enquired.
"Something like that. Keep an eye on Tetch." Bella requested.
"No problem, CrowWoman. He’s not going anywhere." The guard promises.
With the electrified gates humming to life, she walked through the security doors and stepped into the elevator. Once it began its ascension, she glanced upwards, knowing that she was finally free from one of the most strangest and fantastical missions of her life.
She closed her eyes, visualising the time she spent with the caterpillar in Wonderland. How his touch awoke new passions within her hourglass figure. How she felt like a goddess when she showed off her bellydancing skills. How she felt sensual desires surge through her soul when she inhaled exotic hookah smoke and kissed his lips. A small smile broke out on her face, a clear indication that she loved being in the insect’s company.
The elevator stopped, her eyes opening as she stepped out and walked down the cell block transfer corridor. With more than enough guards ensuring Tetch won’t be pursing her again anytime soon, Bella eventually reached the main front doors of the Intensive Treatment building. The doors opened and she stepped out into the early morning air.
"Feels good to be home." Bella declared, preparing to spread her black cape like her winged namesake and glide home. It was time to leave the world of crime-fighting behind and sleep in.

As I was gliding across Gotham, I noticed the Bat-signal shining above the clear night skies before it was switched off by Commissioner Gordon on the roof top of the GCPD headquarters, knowing that the city was once again safe for the night.
I smiled and continued to spread my cape wide enough to increase flight, soaring through the clear night skies with only two more hours until dawn approaches into a new day. This is exactly what I need after a long night of the Mad Hatter’s madness in Wonderland.
But despite the madness that Tetch had caused for me and the creatures of Wonderland, it was truly an adventure that I will never forget. Out of all the times that I have visited Wonderland because of the Mad Hatter in the past, this time, I really found the true meaning of happiness and desire, recalling the exotic moments between me and the caterpillar. Even after I escaped from the caterpillar’s enchanted spell, I still had visions of my possible future with the creature when I return to Wonderland in the future.
I reached the rooftops of the Gotham Tower Apartments in Central Gotham, I landed safely on the roof hearing the caw of a crow. I looked up to see my trusty pet crow, Draven, soaring across the night sky towards me. He landed on my shoulder and cawed happily, rubbling his beak next to my right cheek.
“I’ve missed you too, Draven.” I smiled, stroking the black feathers underneath his chin. I stepped on top of a trapdoor.
“Identity conformed. Welcome back, CrowWoman.” Said the computer’s voice. The trapdoor automatically opened on it’s own, lowered us back down into my secret room, The Crow’s Nest, where I store my high tech crime fighting gear.
After a moment from returning my Crow Woman suit back into a small tube, I walked out off my secret room through my closet door, watching it automatically close behind me. I came out of the closet in my black silk matching PJ’s with my long black hair down to my upper chest and the Wonderland book in my one hand. I set it down my bed and briefly stared at it for a moment. The hardcover still read CrowWoman’s Adventures In Wonderland" in the Mad Hatter’s writing. I figured that if I review the book one more time, I’ll call it a night.
“For a delusional madman, he has quite an imagination.” I admitted.
Before I could review the book., my iPhone vibrated from my messenger bag. I pulled it out to see that it Bruce who was calling me. I didn’t hesitate to answer the call either
“Bruce?” I asked.
“Bella. Jim called and explained the situation. Are you okay?” Bruce asked, revealing Commissioner Gordon called “Batman” about the Mad Hatter’s recent escape before he was sent back to Arkham by CrowWoman.
“I’m fine, Bruce……Just had a really long night, that’s all.” I sighed, yawning in extreme exhaustion.
“I’ve heard. It seemed that Tetch has caused you a whole lot of trouble tonight. Why didn’t call me?” Bruce asked.
“I didn’t want to worry you, Bruce. Besides, Wonderland has poor connections outside the real world.” I revealed, slightly giggling in a small sense of humour.
“Wonderland?” Bruce asked suspiciously.
“I’ll explain everything tomorrow morning, Bruce.” I promised, looking back at the hardcover book on my bed while on the phone, “Do I have a story to tell you and Ryan tomorrow.”
THE END
